Come one, come all to the FYZICAL Brand Triumph Cornhole Tournament!
Start working on your underhand toss, knee flexion range of motion and competitive smack talk in preparation for this year’s cornhole tournament!
Last Brand Triumph, the FYZICAL family competed in a Golf Tournament in Orlando, FL which was won by the FYZICAL Corry team of Karla Mazza, Chris Bailey and Dave Mazza, and Michael Bello from ADP. This time around, afternoon golfing during the summer months in Dallas, TX poses a bit of an extreme weather challenge, so we’ve decided to move the competition indoors at Bowl Games (less than a mile away from Brand Triumph sponsored hotel). This is a great opportunity to network with the FYZICAL community, in addition to showcasing your skills!
There will be light bites available to participating players and full cash bar. The FYZICAL Welcome
Reception will take place back at the hotel from 7-10pm. Participating in the cornhole tournament will give you plenty of time to get back to the hotel and prepare for the welcome reception.
If you are not actively engaged in a match, Bowl Games also offers darts, shuffleboard, foosball, TVs, etc. in addition to watching your competition!
What is cornhole?
For those who aren’t familiar – cornhole is a lawn game where players take turns throwing bean bags at a raised, angled board with a hole in it's far end. The goal of the game is to score points by either landing a bag on the board (one point) or putting the bag through the hole (three points).
How will the tournament work?
The tournament will be assembled bracket style with teams of two. If you are registering as an
individual, we’ll work to pair you with another individual player. Prizes are available to top-finishing teams!
Final rules will be provided at time of tournament, but anticipate:
Traditional cancellation scoring:
- Each round is one player vs. one player throwing four bags each.
- When the scores are tallied at the end of a round (ex/ Player A = 10 and Player B = 6), cancellation scoring is used therefore Player A’s team is awarded 4 points.
Games will be played to 21 (do not need to win by two) OR team with the lead at the conclusion
of 20 minutes, whichever comes first.
- At 20-minute cap, the round that was started is to be completed all through. Team with the lead following this round is declared winner.
- Ties at 20-minute cap will be determined by a single bag back-and-forth throw-off until one team is victorious.
Tournament may be single OR double-elimination style depending on number of teams
participating.
Who is invited to participate?
Franchisees, team members and FYZICAL vendors are all invited to participate! There are limited spots available – sign up ASAP!
When is the cornhole tournament?
The tournament will be taking place Friday, June 9th, 2023 from 1-4 pm. If you are participating in the tournament, please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in.
